House destroyed in Washington Township overnight

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN)  An early-morning fire damaged a home in Washington Township Sunday. Smoke and flames were seen coming out of a house on Wilderness Way just before 2 a.m. 

A passerby saw the fire and called 911. When fire crews arrived, flames were still burning in the back of the two-story home. 

The caller said, “There’s smoke coming out of the house across the street and it looks like there might be flames through the window. I keep hearing a clanging sound.” 

No injuries were reported. There’s no word yet on how much damage was caused.
