Harlem Globetrotter talks women’s empowerment ahead of Dayton show

Local News

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Harlem Globetrotter star Briana “Hoops” Green stopped by the WDTN studios Tuesday to show off her skills and talk about breaking the Globetrotters’ gender barrier.

She is on a mission to encourage other women not to let their gender get in the way of achieving their dreams.

“I would definitely encourage them to go for it,” she says. “Women are more capable of doing everything and anything that guys can do, if not better. Just follow their dream. If they’re passionate about it, if it’s something positive, then why not? They’re definitely capable and women are continuing to break barriers every day.”

The Globetrotters will bring their show to the Nutter Center on Monday, December 31 at 2 p.m.
