Greater Dayton RTA to offer free rides to polls on Election Day

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Greater Dayton RTA will provide free rides to the polls on November 6 to ensure access for all who choose to vote.

In a release Tuesday, they stated: “The RTA understands the necessity for reliable transportation to fulfill this right. Along with transporting more than 30,000 riders daily to work, medical appointments, and daily activities, a trip to the voting polls will now be accessible to all with a free ride on all election days moving forward, beginning with the November 6 election.”

Chief Customer and Business Development Officer for RTA, Brandon Policiccio, added that offering free rides on Election Day is another step to foster inclusion and awareness on important events in the community.
