ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are looking for suspects after another gas station break-in, this time in Englewood.
Officers responded to an alarm at the Marathon on S. Main Street, near Taft Avenue, just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When police arrived, they found the front door of the gas station smashed in with a rock.
Employees tell 2 NEWS the suspects stole cigars from the store and damaged the cash register, disabling the station’s gas pumps. The gas station will be closed until the register can be repaired.
Authorities say the suspects got away in a blue Hyundai Santa Fe. The vehicle is believed to be a rental with Kentucky plates.
Police believe this vehicle is linked to similar break-ins at gas stations in Riverside and Moraine Tuesday.
Employees of the Englewood Marathon say they turned surveillance video over to police.
Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call Englewood Police.
