FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – Students facing financial hardships can now get extra help with food at Wright State University.
Wright State’s food pantry has moved to the Student Union.
It opened Monday, and workers say this is a much larger location with room to help more people.
The new location also has a deep freezer, donated by Wright State’s AAUP.
“So now we can actually get more frozen meal items and possibly meat items, and this is actually good because when you think college students you think frozen pizzas, pizza rolls, things like that which sometimes get donated. We can’t take a lot of it because we just have one refrigerator right now and it can’t hold a lot of it, so that’s really great,” says Social Work intern Monica Gray.
Students acan stop by the pantry to sign up and there will also be an open house next Monday, April 8, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
