Five Miami Valley companies receive medical marijuana processing licenses

Local News

MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WDTN) – Five Dayton-area companies received a provisional processing license for medical marijuana during the state’s latest round of approvals.

The Ohio Department of Commerce said on their website, they intend to award provisional licenses to the top 40 scoring applicants and had already given 14 away.

During this second round, 13 provisional licenses were awarded. Thirteen more are awaiting final compliance checks.

Of the 13 awarded, five Miami Valley facilities made the cut. They are:

  • Marichron Pharma LLC  in Monroe
  • Noohra Labs, LLC in Dayton
  • Debbie’s Processing Ohio, LLC in Clayton
  • Certified Cultivators, LLC in Dayton
  • Diamond Science, LLC in Dayton

The state website said Diamond Science, LLC had another application that qualified for a license but they will only be allowed to choose a single location.

Also, the application for Pure Ohio Wellness, LLC in Mad River Township is one of the 13 pending approval until tax compliance and criminal background checks are clear.

These processing sites join another Miami Valley site that received approval during the first round of state licensing: Purpose Leaf, LLC in Mad River Township.

Right now the state has certified 374 physicians to recommend the cannabis treatment and over 3500 patients are registered.

The first sale is expected to happen next week at Cresco Labs’ CY+ dispensary in Jefferson County.
