DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Authorities responded to an apartment building in Dayton on Friday afternoon for a report of a fire.

Dispatch confirmed with 2 NEWS that a second alarm was issued for a fire at 440 Dayton Towers Drive.

The apartment building is a high-rise.

Burn marks on a tenant’s couch indicate that someone may have been smoking and dropped their cigarette, starting the fire.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but declined to be transported to the hospital.

2 NEWS has a crew on the scene and will provide updates as they become available.
