Fire officials say electrical issue caused Dayton house fire

Fire officials say electrical issues caused a house fire in Dayton Thursday morning.

Crews went to a house on Samuel Street near East Fifth Street just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the house.

Fire officials say no one was home when the fire started. No one was injured.

Investigators say an electrical issue caused the fire.

DP&L was called to the scene to shut off power.

Fire officials didn’t give an estimate of damage caused by the fire.
