Fire destroys barn in Darke County

Crews battled a barn fire in Darke County Saturday morning. 

The fire broke out around 10 a.m and was fully engulfed when crews arrived. 

Chief Bill Clark, from the Ansonia Fire Department, says the fire broke out around 10 a.m. Saturday morning. He says several items inside the barn exploded due to the flames.

No animals were inside the barn at the time of the fire. The barn, located on 11344 OH-49 in Ansonia,was used to store farm equipment. 

The fire remains under investigation.
