GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — A barn was destroyed by fire in a Greenville neighborhood early Monday morning.

Crews responded to reports of a fire behind a house in the 200 block of Green Street, between Hall and Morrow Streets, around 1:20 a.m. Monday.

According to the Greenville Fire Chief, firefighters arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from a barn behind the home.

Crews knocked down the fire, but three cars and three surrounding garages sustained heat damage from the fire.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
