DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A house in Dayton was heavily damaged by fire early Tuesday morning.
Someone called 911 just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to report a house covered in flames on Sylvan Drive near Almond Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front right corner of the house, with fire shooting through a window.
Crews were able to knock down the fire at the one-story home in less than 20 minutes.
Heavy damage could be seen on the roof and front portion of the home.
Fire officials say the people living at the house were not home when the fire started.
No one was injured.
Fire officials say the fire appears to have started in the living room.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
