Family pet killed in Clayton house fire

CLAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A family pet died in a fire in Clayton late Tuesday.

The fire started just after 5 p.m. Tuesday on Crestway Drive, between Kimmel Road and E. Westbrook Road.

Fire officials say a three-car garage was covered in flames when crews arrived. The fire quickly spread to the house.

No one was home when the fire started. A dog was killed in the fire.

Fire officials didn’t give an estimate of damage caused by the fire.

The cause is under investigation.
