NEW JASPER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A family of three was hospitalized after a hit and run crash in Greene County late Monday.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m.  Monday on US-35 westbound, near Stringtown Road in New Jasper Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a car hit an SUV, before fleeing the scene.

The SUV, with three people inside, rolled over in the crash.

Two adults and a three-year-old child were taken to Greene Memorial Hospital. Troopers say all three people are expected to recover.

OSP says all three were wearing seat belts or child restraints.

Troopers say a white car with damage to its right front end left the scene. The car reportedly turned around in the median and left the area on US-35 eastbound.

Authorities closed US-35 westbound to clean up the scene and investigate the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
