Employees volunteer at Foodbank for Fifth Third Day

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Employees volunteered their time in honor of Fifth Third Day on Friday. It was part of the company’s nationwide initiative to help fight hunger by packing more than one million meals.

“It’s something that’s really ingrained in our employees, giving back to the communities that we live and work in. It’s really not too hard, we really don’t have to encourage too much. Honestly, when we get together and do something like this, we have a great time together, working together, and we all know that we’re doing something to help the community we live and work in,” says Doug Compton, Dayton Executive for Fifth Third Bank.

Organizers say the event shows how one company can make a difference in the community.
