JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews from counties around southwest Ohio are converging on Jefferson Township Wednesday morning.
They’ll be at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Infirmary Road for an emergency preparedness exercise.
The participating counties include Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby.
Emergency crews will participate in a full-scale drill to test their capabilities during a radiological terrorist incident. That will include working on decontamination procedures.
The exercise begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
This exercise is not open to the public, and people are asked to avoid the area, if possible, during the training event.
