Drug drop-off available to Dayton residents Saturday

Dayton residents will be have the opportunity to properly dispose of expired or unused prescriptions Saturday.

The Drug Enforcement Administration will host a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Local residents are advised to only bring pills or patches to the five drop off locations where Dayton police officers will properly disposed of the drugs.

Officers say the drug drop off is free and you can remain anonymous.

The event will be Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend the event, you can give your unwanted or expired drugs into the drop-off boxes at the five locations from the 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
