Driver takes off after hitting pedestrian at busy Dayton intersection

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A driver fled the scene of a pedestrian strike in Dayton Thursday morning.

The accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Salem Avenue and Cornell Drive.

Authorities say the victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. That person’s condition has not been released.

The suspect vehicle is described only as a white vehicle. Police are working to develop a better description of the suspect vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dayton Police or Crimestoppers at 222-STOP.
