Driver sentenced to time in rehabilitation center for fatal prom night crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – A teen driver involved in a car crash on prom night that killed another teen and injured two others was sentenced this week.

WLWT reports that after listening to impact statements for over an hour, the judge decided to suspend the girl’s license until she turns 21 in addition to undergoing treatment at Miami Valley Juvenile Rehabilitation Center.

She pleaded ‘true’ to charged of vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault for the April 27 crash.

Police say she was driving faster than 100 miles per hour at the time of the accident.
