Driver in custody after police chase in Butler County

FAIRFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — A driver is in custody after leading West Chester Police on a brief chase early Tuesday morning.

Police say the pursuit started just after 1 a.m. Tuesday when a car fled from a traffic stop on Crescentville Road near S.R. 747.

The chase lasted less than a mile, with speeds reaching 90 miles per hour.

The car crashed on S.R. 4 near Woodridge Boulevard in Fairfield. Police took the driver into custody.

Police say the man is facing a failure to comply charge.

No one was injured.
