Driver admits hitting person with vehicle in Harrison Township

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities say a driver intentionally hit someone with a vehicle in Harrison Township late Thursday.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies went to Embassy Place at Palisades Drive on reports of a person hit by a vehicle just before 11 p.m. Thursday.

When deputiies arrived, they learned the person who was hit by the vehicle had been fighting with someone inside the vehicle.

Witnesses told deputies the person who was hit by the vehicle had a gun and made threats.

The driver of the vehicle told deputies she intentionally hit the person because she felt her life was in danger.

The vehicle also hit a parked vehicle on Palisades Drive.

The person who was hit by the vehicle ran away, but came back later and spoke with deputies. That person refused medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with reported non-life threatening injuries.

The Special Investigations Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.

There’s no word if any charges will be filed.
