DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dental students gave away free checkups to kids on Wednesday.
Services include cleanings, X-rays, and fluoride treatment at Sinclair. About 20 dental hygiene students were there to provide the free services to kids.
The Clinic Coordinator Pamela Edwards says dental hygiene is important for children.
“The mouth is the window to the body and we can tell so much about overall health by doing an oral exam,” she said. “After their baby teeth, or deciduous teeth, are no longer there we want them to keep their teeth for a lifetime.”
If you missed the event, Edwards also said the clinic is still open for regular appointments.
