DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend to death earlier this month was arraigned in court Tuesday.

28-year-old Trendell Goodwin is pleading guilty to two counts of Murder, Felonious Assault, and other charges.

Police say Goodwin killed 17-year-old LaShonda Childs on Shoop Avenue back on October 2.

He reportedly got into an argument with Childs and another man, and as they tried to drive away, Goodwin shot into the car, killing the teen.

His bond is set at $1,000,000.

He is scheduled to be back in court on October 31.
