Dayton SWAT standoff suspect faces several charges

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The individual who was arrested following a police standoff on Tuesday is facing charges of resisting arrest, among others.

26-year-old Devin Lamar Washington was taken into custody after a standoff lasting nearly nine hours on Pointview Avenue.

According to police, U.S. Marshals arrived at the scene at 7:30 Tuesday morning, looking to arrest a man on an outstanding felonious assault warrant.

He was booked on domestic violence charges, a fourth-degree felony, and now faces charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and inducing panic, which is a fifth-degree felony.

His next court date is set for Wednesday, August 22.
