Dayton Salvation Army accepting applications for Christmas food assistance

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Salvation Army’s Christmas assistance program is underway.

The campaign helps to provide holiday meals for thousands of area families in need.

If you need help to provide food for your family around Christmastime, you can bring an application to The Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 1000 N. Keowee Street in Dayton between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Tuesday, November 6, through Friday, November 9.

You must also bring:

  • A Photo ID and Social Security Card for each adult in your household,
  • A Social Security Card and birth certificate for each child
  • Proof of income
  • Proof of current address by lease or landlord statement, or a current utility bill
