DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Police Department celebrated the graduation of two of its newest K-9 members on Wednesday.

Officer Jeremy Stewart and his partner K-9 Weston, and Officer Randy Betsinger and his K-9 partner Hugo, were honored during a reception ceremony at the Preble County Fairgrounds.

Both were trained in drug detection and patrol.

“It was a lot of hard work that we put into it. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the street and using my dog to make the city better,” says Officer Stewart.

Officer Stewart and Weston are assigned to the narcotic bureau, while Officer Betsinger and Hugo will go to the West Operations Division.
