A Dayton man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Clark County Tuesday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on Gerlaugh Road, east of S.R. 235 in Bethel Township.

A pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Benjamin S. Parsons from Dayton was driving east on Gerlaugh Road. OSP says Parsons’ truck ran off the right side of the road and flipped over several times.

Parsons was ejected from the vehicle.

CareFlight transported Parsons to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries. OSP says Parsons died at the hospital a short time later.

Authorities closed Gerlaugh Road for nearly one hour due to the crash.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Bethel Township Fire and EMS assisted OSP at the scene.
