Dayton man found guilty in Harrison Township shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man has been found guilty as charged in connection with a shooting outside a bar on February 11, 2017.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Liquid Sports Club, located at 5202 North Main Street. Upon arrival, they found a 26-year-old Dayton man had been shot.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that a number of people went outside the building after an altercation had taken place inside the club, when 29-year-old Shaun D. Hill shot the victim.

Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr., announced Thursday that Hill was found guilty as charged on:

  • One count of Felonious Assault with a Deadly Weapon
  • One count of Felonious Assault causing Serious Physical Harm
  • One count of Having Weapons While Under Disability – prior drug conviction

Both Felonious Assault counts include three-year firearm specifications.

He will be sentenced on August 29, 2018.
