DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after a driver blew through a stop sign at a Darke County intersection.

At 3:41 pm on April 8, Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of OH-49 and Children’s Home Bradford Road for reports of an injury accident.

Initial investigation revealed that a gray 2018 Hyundai Kona driven by a 29-year-old Union City, Indiana, woman was traveling westbound on Children’s Home Bradford Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the path of a 2011 Chevy Malibu driven by a 21-year-old Union City, Indiana, man.

Both drivers were taken to Wayne Healthcare by Greenville Township Rescue with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai was cited for a stop sign violation.
