Crews extinguish fire in basement of Dayton home

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – All occupants made it out safely after a fire broke out in the basement of a Dayton home Friday evening.

Firefighters responded to the 1000 block of Wyoming Street around 5:40 pm for reports of a house fire.

It was found that the fire began in the basement of the home, but officials could not immediately pinpoint a cause.

All of the home’s occupants were able to make it out safely and responders quickly knocked down the flames.

It is unclear at this time if the house sustained any serious damage.
