Crews battle heavy flames at vacant Dayton home, arson suspected

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Crews battled heavy flames at a vacant Dayton home Wednesday morning.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told 2 NEWS that crews were called to the two-story home on East Norman Avenue just before 6:30 a.m.

Dayton District Fire Chief Peter Whitby said the fire is under investigation as possible arson.

Whitby said no one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

It is not known at this time where the fire started. Crews will remain on scene for a few more hours as they investigate the incident.
