Crash in Darke County sends 2 to hospital

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Darke County Friday afternoon.

Around 3:35 p.m. on March 29, Darke County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Greenville Township Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of US-127 and Horatio Harris Creek Road.

Initial investigation revealed that a northbound 2008 Pontiac G6, driven by a 28-year-old Greenville man, was at the intersection turning east onto Horatio Harris Creek Road when a 2002 Honda Odyssey, driven by a 30-year-old Greenville woman, attempted to pass on the righthand side of the road while also traveling northbound and struck the Pontiac.

The driver of the Odyssey and her passenger were both taken to Wayne Healthcare by Greenville Township Rescue. A third occupant in her vehicle refused treatment at the scene.

The driver of the Pontiac also refused treatment at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
