Connecticut man stopped in Preble County with more than $100K worth of drugs

The Ohio State Highway Patrol filed felony drug charges against a Connecticut man after a traffic stop in Preble County. 

The traffic stop happened on April 30 just before 6:50 p.m. where troopers seized more than three pounds of hash butter, nearly 40 ounces of hash oil and 45 grams of marijuana, which the value added up to more than $100,000.

Twenty-nine-year-old Nicholas Nowak was taken to the Preble County Jail and charged with possession of solid and liquid hashish, both second-degree felonies. 

If convicted, he could face up to 17 years in prison and up to a $32,000 fine.
