Ohio Congressman Mike Turner (R-10th District) and Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley talked about the city of Dayton’s water issue Monday.

Congressman Turner said the drinking water in the city of Dayton is safe and there will be a community to-do list put in place to monitor the safety of the water.

Mayor Whaley thanked Montgomery County, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and other partners in this project that helped monitor the safety of the drinking water.

Mayor Whaley said the city ‘has never had any issue’ with the water coming from the base or from the site where we obtain water.

Other community leaders in the city of Dayton spoke at the news conference at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center.
