City of Moraine hires new City Manager

The City of Moraine has a new City Manager.

The Mayor and City Council voted Wednesday to hire Bryan Chodkowski. He will officially begin working in Moraine in June.

The city has been searching for a new City Manager since November, when Dave Hicks announced his retirement. Hicks had been Moraine’s City Manager since 2001.

Chodkowski comes to Moraine from Enfield, Connecticutt, where he had served as Town Manager since 2016.

He also has ties to the Miami Valley, serving as City Manager in Riverside for nine years. Chodkowski also served as Village Manager in Sparta Michigan for four years.

“Although it is hard to replace a City Manager like Dave Hicks, the City is thrilled that Mr. Chodkowski has agreed to join the City of Moraine team,” Moraine Mayor Elaine Allison said. “His leadership and local government experience will enable the City to move forward seamlessly with the many important projects scheduled in our short and long term future.”

Chodkowski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from Ohio University.
