MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WDTN) – A local eatery handed over a check to charity on Monday.
City Barbeque gave Hannah’s Treasure Chest nearly $800.
The restaurant raised the money during a Touch-a-Truck event for kids back in late July.
Hannah’s Treasure Chest gives care packages to kids in need and includes things like clothes, books, and hygiene products.
“We love to be involved in the community,” said Stephanie Law, Local Store Marketer for City Barbeque. “We do all kinds of local events, as much as we can. This is actually the first year we did a Touch-a-Truck event but I think it’s something we’ll do every year.”
There are two City Barbeques in the Miami Valley; one in Centerville and one in Beavercreek.
