Citizens collect trash at Osborn Park in celebration of Earth Day

Local News

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – A few dozen volunteers went to work at Osborn Park Monday morning. They grabbed trash bags and helped remove debris from storm drains, and picked up litter in honor of Earth Day.

Organizers say the goal is to protect the environment and future generations.

“Obviously, we want to make sure this will continue on for our children, and we want to be able to do our part to help that,” says Missy Frost, Development Services Assistant Director with the City of Fairborn.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the City of Fairborn helped organize the event.
