Children, dog safe after house fire in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – Three children and a dog are now safe following a house fire in Riverside late Monday morning.

The fire began at a home in the 4300 block of Silverberry Avenue around 11 a.m.

Firefighters say they believe the cause of the fire may be electrical.

The three children all got out of the home safely, but firefighters had to rescue the dog.

The fire is still under investigation and it is unclear at this time how much damage was done to the home.
