CLAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the three people hospitalized after a crash in Clayton on Thursday.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, a two-car crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 at the intersection of East Westbrook Road and Salem Avenue.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Mazda, driven by 19-year-old Daniel Barrera, turned left onto East Westbrook Road into the path of a Chevy that was heading north on State Route 49. The Mazda was hit on the passenger side.

Barrera and his passenger, 20-year-old Tristen Baker, were airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. OSP said Barrera received serious non-life-threatening injuries, but Baker was in life-threatening condition.

The driver of the Chevy, 66-year-old Joe Patterson, was also brought to Miami Valley Hospital by EMS, OSP said. He was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Reconstruction Unit was on the scene, and officers will continue to investigate what may have contributed to the crash. OSP said that charges will be decided upon once the investigation is complete.
