DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A driver escaped unharmed after a car hit an RTA pole and a tree in Dayton early Thursday.
The crash happened just after 2:20 a.m. Thursday on Watervliet Avenue, near Pershing Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue.
Police say a car was driving north on Watervliet and going too fast when it lost control. The car hit an RTA pole, bounced off and hit a tree in the yard of a nearby home.
The driver of the car wasn’t injured.
The pole was an RTA pole, and some wires were dangling from the pole after the crash. Police called RTA, which sent a representative to check the pole.
