The Brookville community is supporting a local woman with cnacer.

Saturday they gathered for a silent auction to raise money for Rachel Hubbs, who was originally diagnosed with giloblastoma brain cancer back in 2013 and given 18 months to live.

However, in May,  Rachel will defy all odds and surpass the 6-year mark of being first diagnosed.

The goal of Saturday’s silent auction fundraiser was to raise money for Rachel’s medical expenses.

Rachel is supported by her husband, Jesse, and 2 boys.

Seeing the sign’s around town, seeing the posts on Facebook it’s just blowing my mind. I’m speechless, says Jesse Hubbs, Rachel’s husband. I don’t think I’ve ever had anybody reach out and show so much love, and so many people, for my family. It truly means the world to us and to me. I don’t think I will ever be able to repay anybody for it.

If you would like to support the #RachelStrong campaign, donations can be made at any Huntington Bank into the #RachelStrong account.
