HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – A man was arraigned in court on Thursday after a 75-year-old man died in a house fire in April.

48-year-old Shawn Albertson is facing murder, aggravated arson, and other charges after his involvement in a house fire that killed the homeowner.

Fire crews were called to the 4240 block of Merrimac Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1.

Officials said they found the homeowner inside of the house unconscious and he was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Items were also missing from the home.

The judge set a one million dollar bond for Albertson, who is due back in court later this month.
