BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — Royal Wedding fever is in high gear, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set to wed Saturday in Windsor.
A Miami Valley restaurant is opening bright and early to welcome Royal Wedding fans for a celebratory brunch.
The Pub at the Greene in Beavercreek will open at 6 a.m. Saturday.
General Manager Logan Hooper says people have been calling the restaurant for days. He’s expecting a full house for their Royal Wedding party.
There will be an English tea service as well as a bloody mary bar.
Hooper says Royal Weddings always draws large interest, but the unique quality of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s courtship has heightened interest in the event.
“The more contemporary nature of this wedding courtship has really got a lot of people intrigued,” Hooper said. “An American actress marrying English royalty is kind of like a fairy tale, so there’s a lot of interest in watching the event or history unfold.”
Staff of The Pub will dress up for the event. They’re encouraging patrons to do the same, with wedding attire and big hats recommended.
There will also be raffles and giveaways.
Doors open at 6 a.m. for the ceremony and other televised events.
You can watch NBC’s coverage of the Royal Wedding, beginning at 4:30 a.m. Saturday on 2 NEWS.
