Beavercreek Fire Dept. honors retiring firefigher

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – The Beavercreek Fire Department honored a retiring firefighter with a flag ceremony on Friday.

Lt. Steve Weimer is retiring after 29 years of service to the community. He says most of all, he will miss working with his fellow firefighters and serving the citizens.

“I’m ready for retirement. It’s been a great career. I’ve enjoyed serving the citizens of Beavercreek, it’s been a wonderful community to work in, and I’m forever grateful,” he said, adding that being prepared and giving everything every day are the keys to having a long career.
