At least one in custody after police pursuit ends in Harrison Township

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) –- At least one person is in custody after a police chase ended in Harrison Township Wednesday night.

Authorities say the chase started on N. Main Street in Dayton around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday when an officer tried to pull over a vehicle.

The vehicle took off, leading officers on a chase, with speeds topping 80 miles per hour.

Surveillance video you’ll see Only on 2 shows the suspect vehicle driving at a high rate of speed, pursued by at least 10 police cruisers.

Police used stop sticks to force the car to stop.

The pursuit came to an end around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday near North Dixie Drive and Neva Drive.

According to authorities, “all occupants” of the car were in custody but they did not specify how many people were involved.

Jail records show one person was taken into custody at the scene where the chase ended. The man is being held on failure to comply charges.
