MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Police issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted for assaulting a teen during a robbery.
Miami County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a robbery on April 22 that occurred in the 100 block of Garbry Road in Springcreek Township.
A 16-year-old male victim told police that a black sedan with tinted windows pulled up outside a residence he was visiting.
The driver got out and blocked the victim’s path while a passenger got out of the car with his hand behind his back.
The passenger then asked the teen if he had any money.
When the victim told the man he did not have any money, the man showed what looked to be a semi-automatic pistol.
He demanded that the teen empty his pockets. As he tried to walk away, the man struck him in the face.
The victim fell to the ground and both suspects began to strike him multiple times before fleeing in the vehicle.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Jammell Antonio Hicks in connection with the crime, charging him with aggravated robbery and assault.
Police believe Hicks may be in the Dayton area.
