NEW LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) — Two suspects are in custody after an armed robbery in Dayton.

Police say two men robbed someone at gunpoint on Huffman Avenue Sunday night.

Officers found one of the suspects and a vehicle linked to the robbery at another location in Dayton a short time later.

After investigating, officers went to a house on Johnsonville Brookville Road, near US-35 in New Lebanon and found the second suspect inside.

The man refused to come out, leading to an hour-long standoff.

After negotiating with the suspect, he surrendered peacefully. There were other people inside the house, but they were not involved in the robbery and will not face charges.

Police say the suspect from the New Lebanon standoff had warrants for his arrest. Authorities say he will face additional charges related to the armed robbery and standoff.

The victim in the armed robbery was not injured.

New Lebanon and Brookville Police, along with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office assisted Dayton Police during the standoff.
