Another cell phone store robbed in the Miami Valley, this time at gunpoint

The search is on for an armed suspect and 4 accomplices involved in a cell phone store robbery. It’s the latest in a string of robberies reported this week at several cell phone stores throughout the Miami Valley this week.

An eye-witness 2 NEWS spoke with says he saw a man holding a gun run from the store, jump into a car and drive away.

Police were first called to the Verizon on Miller Lane in Butler Township just after 6 p.m. Thursday night. According to Butler Township Police, one suspect fired one shot inside the store, but no one was hit or injured in the robbery.

The robbery comes after 4 other cell phone store robberies were reported at stores in Troy, Dayton, Englewood and Xenia.
