MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center just released its latest progress report since their evaluation from Team Shelter USA.
Over the month of January, the shelter reported a 90.3 percent live release rate and found new homes for 99 pets.
The county has vowed to improve operations after facing several lawsuits questioning the shelter’s policies.
“We have started the process of reaching out to local rescue organizations to get feedback on our operations and services. I look forward to meeting with our rescue organizations to improve the trust and collaboration between our agencies, and to incorporate your feedback into our planning and process improvements,” says Interim Director Robert Gruhl.
The shelter is holding an adoption event on Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at their facility. Thanks to a generous sponsor, all adoptions will be completely free during this event.
