FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) — Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will be home to some aircraft displaced by an approaching hurricane.

The base Monday night welcomed F-22 Raptors from Tyndall Air Force Base and F-35 Lightning II’s from Eglin Air Force Base.

Both bases are in Florida, which lies in the path of Hurricane Michael.

A spokesperson for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base says more F-22 and F-35 aircraft will arrive Tuesday morning.

The base previously played host to several aircraft displaced when Hurricane Florence hit the east coast.
