3 taken to hospital after driver causes chain-reaction crash in Englewood

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Five medics have been called to the scene of a crash involving four vehicles in Englewood.

Dispatch tells 2 NEWS the accident happened just before 1 pm in the area of Hillgrove Avenue and North Main Street.

Initial investigation suggests that a driver was traveling northbound on Main Street when he traveled left-of-center and struck an oncoming vehicle, causing a chain reaction crash involving two other cars.

Sgt. Lang with the Englewood Police Department says that three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear at this time why the driver drifted left-of-center.

The crash remains under investigation.
